After a decade of sustained growth in travel across Asia Pacific, COVID-19 ruthlessly stalled the curve. Border closures, travel bans and quarantines changed the landscape.

A new era of travel is now unfolding.

Destinations across the region are clamouring to welcome back Chinese tourists. Meanwhile, tourism boards, airlines, OTAs and hoteliers are expanding their reach to tap demand from Indian 2nd-tier cities, ASEAN, the Middle East and Central Asia.

Dynamic, complex and competitive markets throughout Asia Pacific are being shaped by demand for travel from within Asia Pacific.

The pathway to growth, and away from post-Covid recovery, remains complex.

And I’ll be following closely as we go along.
